Hello and welcome to the 4th Writing From Your Heart Gathering

It’s hard to believe that we’ve reached our fourth and I’m looking forward to welcoming back old friends and holding out a hand to greet new contacts.

If you’re new to our Gatherings you may have questions on how they work and the purpose behind them.

So the first question might be, why Gatherings?

Because I believe that just as we gather together physically for courses, and meditation groups and classes, so we ‘gather virtually’ for the Writing From Your Heart events. It doesn’t matter if we’re all there at the same time, the time of transmission or later. I believe that we’re all connected through love and that works regardless of time or place.

What is that connection?

I’m not sure what word/s you use for your understanding of what is greater than our human limited knowing, ego concerns or logical mind. I use Spirit but equally you could say Higher Self, the Mystery, God or that Universal Mind and Unconscious that Carl Jung spoke of. You know the feeling that you have when something happens like seeing a rainbow or listening to birdsong or feeling absolute certainty in your gut about something. Those moments when we sense we’re completely connected to all that exists and we lose our fears, our limitations and our illusion of aloneness.

Those moments when the heart soars and expands and we can listen to wiser words than our ego driven self wants to acknowledge.

‘Meditation is to get insight, to get understanding and compassion, and when you have them you are compelled to act.’ Thich Nhat Hanh

Why this topic of Meditation and Self Enquiry?

This year I’ve proved for myself that spending time, developing that relationship with all there is, not only gives me more peace of mind, but also clearer guidance and especially time saving wisdom.

Time saving wisdom because when we’re plugged into that relationship with in my terms Spirit, the guidance becomes a flow of energy, there’s less confusion (when we listen properly) and we become more trusting.

Our speakers each have their individual understanding and experience of this in their lives to share with you.

‘If you go deeper and deeper into your heart, you’ll be living in a world with less fear, isolation and loneliness.’ Sharon Salzberg

Each speaker is going to share with you their thoughts on some questions I’ve asked them to consider, including:

How do you define meditation and self-enquiry?

What happens when we hit blocks in our practice?

How do we integrate into ‘everyday life’ what happens on retreats or in workshops?

How will the Gathering work?

If you haven’t taken part in any online events before, this is how it will work:

  • Each discussion takes place for 60 minutes. You can listen in as the session takes place. Before each session you’ll receive an email outlining how to connect by phone or via an online link (website address). The online link costs you nothing; the phone connection costs you according to what your phone provider charges. (It’s a US phone number)
  • Listen for free via a website link during the replay period of 48 hours after each session. You’ll receive another email after the live session which gives you the replay link. You can listen to the sessions as many times as you wish during the 48 hour replay period but you won’t be able to download the recording. Downloads are available if you invest in the Gathering Package.

How will I know if it’s right for me?

This may not be right for some people at the stage they are at. Only you know if listening to our beloved and distinguished speakers will open your heart to hear just what you need right now.

All the speakers are people I’ve followed for some time. I’ve read their books, met some of them and can put my hand on my heart and say I trust them to offer you the best of who they are. Some of them have shared on these events before and I’ve had feedback that their contributions have changed lives.

Only you know if it’s right for you at this time and I’d ask that you sit for a moment and tune into whatever you call that loving friend who doesn’t let you down, is with you all the time, and places your soul’s development as the No 1 priority.

Tune in to your inner guidance and ask.

If you join us I’ll be delighted and so will our speakers. If you decide it’s not right for you, then we appreciate you for checking this out and wish you all blessings to find the next best step for you.

Remember though that it costs nothing to join us and nothing to listen live or on replay for the 48 hours. And other than the emails about the event you’ll receive no other type of emails from me.

Even if you decide later you don’t want to be part of the Gathering, signing up gives you 5 free bonuses.

‘I just have to tell you right now that I feel so blessed that you came into my life last week. The gift of you with your warm gentle, heart-centred sharings makes me feel encouraged and full of hope…’ Cheryl

If you wanted an extra piece of reassurance, and asked me to choose one thing, just one thing about this event that’s going to be important, it’s this: The experience of being guided in meditation and self-enquiry.

That’s why I’ve allocated at least a quarter of the time to allow each speaker to create a deep experience for you.

Over the years, I’ve gained so much from these and other speakers in such experiences that I have no hesitation in choosing this one part of the sessions.

It’s a new part of the Gatherings and I think an important development for all of us as we strengthen that unseen but powerful connection between us.

Here’s to connecting at a deeper level.

In love and light,

All blessings,

Eileen Parr
